Haha, that's hilarious.
When I explain the concept of digital slr to friends they always ask if it has movie mode and are confused when I say it doesn't.
"but I paid $200 for my digital cam and it has movie mode...you were ripped off"

hehe

Probably a typo or should it be "probably a graphico"

Pretty sure every camera has movie mode, so the typesetter probably had one graphic left over and put it under the D70!

They should have put the D70 forum logo instead!!

Bago,

If you have a few minutes to spare, and want some fun, wander into the store and ask for a demo of it.

I might just do that Gary!

I'm going to try to get a uv filter so I don't have to worry about fingerprints on the lens again and I will casually ask them to demo the movie mode for me and report back here :D

Maybe if everything happens at 1/8 speed, the three frames a sec can be run at 25/sec and you have motion!

Or maybe not.

And yes Graham, the very first thing I do with any lens is get a filter and put it on.

I have to say that I am not surprised about the ad from this store, it is where I bought my D70 from and I will not go back to them. You live and learn.
I had D70 lust though, to paraphrase Birddogs reference to lens... and after 7 months of research I just woke up that day and said, enough, I want it and I am getting it. I will take my time and be guided by the forum for next purchases in the lens area. Wasn't aware of D70 forum at the time.

Oh joy of joys :D

I went to Teds store today and sadly there is no movie mode. Misprint apparently.

Also they do not have any 67mm D70 UV filters either :(

and neither does Camera House :(

Both were stacked to the rafters though, with all manner of new camera brands and boxes. They would have had every digital camera known to mankind.

Both said they would be getting more soon but methinks that may well be standard sales patter so off to the great Internet shoppe.

Cheers
