(I can't post in the Business one yet where other discussions about PG have been)

Firstly, previous thread (6 months old now) refer to PG being free...but it says there is a $220 annual fee...is this a change since, or is it still free and this $220 is for something else?

Also, how good is it really? Once you take out the Bank fees, Wholesale price of prints, 25% to PG/Fujifilm and delivery, is there anything left for the photgrapher? Obviously you could hike your prices up, but then it's loses it's value for money if you know what I mean....there's only so high a price people will pay. Anyone know what the 25% commission is 25% of?

Well, I signed up when that original thread in the Business section was posted, and I haven't been charged any annual fees yet.

If you're lookin for a way to make money - I'm not sure this is the right way. There are other stock image libraries online that altho pay miserly amounts, you may have better luck. Scott/MHD I believe signed up to a few of these places and have accrued a few dollars. All I can remember him getting out of progalleries was some dodgy african con-artist offering some too good to be true deal. Although Craig/JordanP and Geoff/Geoff might have other stories to tell - I think they do use the site to display their wedding jobs.

Progalleries lets you select your print prices, but they also have minimums which I guess covers their fee, the cost of prints, delivery, etc. so you can't select an amount that leaves you with a negative balance after a sale.

Thanks for that. Yeah, it's certainly not for making money as such...and not for stock photography either...though if random people want to buy my prints, then they can go for it.

It seems they do have an annual fee now (from what I read), and with what I have, I can't see that cost being recovered by print sales...
