I miss my eye cup I use on my old FE2.
Does anyone know if there is one available for a D70 and if so where I get one in Sydney

Yes there is - Birddog has them. Great especially if you wear glasses.

Birddog has eyecups
Dammit I just ordered a couple off the D70s (they fit the D70 as well), cost $30 each

Quite a lot of us have the Birddog supplied eyepiece (don't know the official part number!), and are more than happy with them. As Stubbsy said, really good for those of us graced with the requirement to wear glasses!
Interestingly (if you're into this sort of thing!), some of us use the eyepiece one way, others upside down - it depends on your preference. I've never really worked out whether I'm an upside down man or not! I mean, really - which way is up?

OK, I have never used an eye cup......why are they especially good if you wear glasses?

You mean it can go on the other way up
Hadn't really thought about it.

The one we are talking about provides a better/larger seal against your glasses than the standard one
- makes for less reflections on your glasses when trying to see the tiny viewfinder

Also stops your expensive eye glasses from getting scratched
