Just having a look at europeancameras.com and they have a 2nd hand 50mm 1.4 for $350. Obviously I'm not aware of the condition of the lens, and I'm not sure of Birdy's current price on this NEW lens, but if anyone is interested. Here it is:

Onyx put his 50/1.4 in the For Sale section for $300.00, and I know this lens is mint condition Worth a check!

Thanks for the plug, my unit is pending a sale - so anyone else considering a 50 f/1.4 (superb portrait lens as Stubbsy's recent post in conjunction with the SB800 points out), check out ECS. They seem to have a fairly decent selection of used gear - but they offer 1/3 that price to buy these from the public, so you see where they make their money from.

Also don't forget to check the first stick post in the Bargains forum - as you could end up with something second hand when you could have bought it new at the same price or less!

for $50 bucks more you can get it new off bidry with a warranty!
