Binocular support

Have a friend who is looking for a support arrangement suitable for use with Binoculars in a car... something along the lines of a clamp mechanism with an adjustable head (maybe ballhead style?). Not sure which Binoculars they are talking about... it's for an o/s relative and they think they have a pair of nikon binoculars but not sure of the model
So... anyone here have any experience/knowledge of such devices???
I am aware that Manfrotto have a number of clamps products, but have no idea of their usefulness, and I have seen this clamp and ballhead product that looks cheerful but cheap http://www.bits.com.au/newbits/engine.asp?CatID=30&SubCatID=565&ManufID=&BSR=E&OS=P

Any other thoughts???

Mj, I think the jump is from the one you found or the Kirk for $250US!!! To justify that it would have to be mounted on Johnny Howards car with 10mm bulletproof glass to support the support.

Thx Glen... certainly looks like the rollsroyce solution... looking around for a friend and won't make any assumptions about how deep their pockets might be... you've only got to look at some of the happy lusting people here to realise that some have plenty of money when the mood takes em!!!

I'll just pass on the info and let them sort things out from there.

MJ,
Watch out!
They might not look at you again, they will think that you thought they're rich

They want support, but are tightarses. Tell them why bother, just use their hands to support. Cheap supports won't give you much more stediness than good hand held technique. I mean it's no that hard to hold binoculars.

Kipper...
I'm not making any assumptions about how much they might or might not spend... just give 'em the info on what options they might have and let them decide...

Birdie...
I know they are rich... but doesn't mean they have deep pockets..

Tell them to sell their binos and get ones with image stabilisation.
