Actually, somebody did, earlier this week.
There is a thread where they managed to grab one to play with in Michael's in Melbourne, despite the fact that the lens wasn't supposed to be released until today.

Wherever you guys manage to find one of these lenses
, would you be so kind as to post some example shots?
I'd love to see what it is capable of.
Cheers,
Owen.

Hi All,
I have some sample images from the 10-20 (made with one of the lenses that made to Melbourne this week) however I have to say that I have not figured out how to post images on this forum yet!!
Someone give me an email address that I can send a couple of images to and I forward them through to you and you can then post them!
Cheers,
Antsl

350D 10 mm 1/640 f/4 ISO400. Quite frankly I'm not surprised it's not sharp wide open; the real test is at f/8-f/11.

Hi Guys,
Just to let you know what was happening in the testing process. This is a simple straight shoot of a street scene... while maintaining the same composition I made the image at f4 through to f22 at both the 10mm and the 20mm settings. How the lens performs wide open is a concern for me as a doco shooter as I tend to shoot wide open a lot anyway.
Having just tested a bunch of lenses I have to say that I was rather impressed with two in particular .. the Canon 10-22 and the Tokina 12-24mm. The Tokina lacks the ultrasonic motor functions of other lenses in this class however it is sharper wide open than the Nikon 12-24 while being half the price. These lenses become similar to each other once you get to the smaller apertures. If you are looking for an affordable option to the Nikon 12-24 then this lens gets my vote. The only lens the at I am waiting on to test at the moment is the Tamron 11-28mm.
If you guys are interested I will post an image from the Sigma 10-20 at the f11 setting and you can take it from there.

Yup, please do.
Also, I'd like to see your comparison between sharpness of the Tokina and the Nikon, especially if you're saying the Tokina is sharper.
I know that tere are a few people on here who'd automatically disagree with that.

I don't think I can answer that without my lawyer present.
