like the shot - great character captured in the portrait. Also like whatever (however??) they have done with the background.

I'd love to know how he did the background. Makes the photo look almost 3D.

And his colour is spot on

On one of the comments he says that the shepherd is standing in front of a dirty glass and what you see in the backgroung are sheep (smudged by the dirty glass).

It is very intiguing - the colours, the feel, the textures - all look unreal somehow. The background, as explained, work really well.
