What is it, and how much does it cost to say get a 106cm x 71cm print?

It might be called other names, but I saw this on a website and wondered how much the actual cost of getting the print done would cost so I could compare how much profit they're making on the shot.

Hi Kipper,

I don't know if this is a usefull reply, however consider your local University. They may have a Photolab with digital printing.
They may give you the opportunity to do exactly what you are looking for.

Cheers,
CD

Kipper -
Did you look at https://www.gicleeprint.net/pricing.asp in Colorado USA.
I know that they specialize in canvas Giclee prints.

For those who haven't heard of Giclee printing:

The Definition : Giclee (zhee-klay) - The French word "giclée" is a feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The word may have been derived from the French verb "gicler" meaning "to squirt".

The Term : The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.

The latest Epson inkjet printers are Giclee printers. The 2100, R800 and R1800 all print to this standard and are recognised for genuine "Giclee" quality. Giclee printers are simply high quality inkjet printers that a few years ago were temperamental and difficult to maintain and expensive to run. Technology has changed all of that to some degree.

I just looked at the page, saw an estimate link and clicked and that's where it said enter a CC. Didn't see the left hand bar with pricing :)
