Stadium shots tips and suggestionsI'm off to watch Wallabies v All Blacks this weekend
Has anyone ever taken shots at such an event? I'm looking forward to getting some nice wide angled shots of the stadium with the crowds and the lights etc. What should I be doing and not doing. I mean, I'm going to experiement when I get in, but if anyone has any killer tips I'd appreciate it. Also, you are allowed to take cameras in aren't you? I know it might seem a stupid question but I've been surprised at where you cant take a camera and lenses these days. Cheers Matt
I've taken my old camera to such games in the past with no problems - although haven't taken the D70 to other than NRL.
Even took the video camera one year to the Bledisloe - and we even won You may encounter resistance if you have a > 200mm lens, but I'd doubt even that at this one (unless you have front row seats!). Take it, enjoy, and make sure you share your pics for those of us less lucky than you - although I'm sure I'll be having a great night elsewhere *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
Matt,
You should have a corker of a game, now that the 'boks are out of the way, dead set, they've played 4 games and scored I think 5 tries, three from intercepts...that's not sport, that's killing sport. As for photographing etc, I took my Sony 707 into Telstra dome (AFL) last year, no problems there, not sure about superdooper tele lens though. You'll most probably want to crank up the ISO for lower light conditions as you'll still need a reasonable shutter speed. Enjoy the occasion and go them thar wallabies. hehe - Coffs Hbr - home of the Mongrels... ah... er... Bulldogs I knew there was a reason I don't support the Wallabies - they have the same training base as the mongrels! Go the All Blacks! (and you'll note it wasn't I who brought footy into the forum this time Gary!) *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
Matt, if you want to support a winning side just support the Wallabies (or is that the Springboks at the moment)
