sb800

Postby NetMagi on Fri Aug 05, 2005 5:48 am

Just had to share my excitement and mention I finally ordered an sb800.

$289 - $25 rebate (US dollars) from buydig.com

Having seen some examples of what this flash can accomplish in TTL and balanced fill TTL both inside and out I'm REALLY excited! Plus I figure that wedding Storm and I have coming up might be difficult with on-board flash.

Yes indeed....you will LOVE this flash. It's like strapping the sun to your camera ! Seriously, think of all those indoor shots where you're so close to attaining that great shot, but your lens just won't give you the settings you want.....grab the SB800, turn it on and "big happy smiley-faces" all around !

That's a very nice price tag, and would be lovely with the current Aussie dollar (much better than the $850 quoted here in Au$).
Do they ship to Australia ....!!!!!
If so, please let me know and I'll get one to accompany the new D70s I'm hoping to buy next week!

Rich - you won’t regret getting the SB800 - I have used many flashes over the years and this is the ants pants :D

Either hang around a while and you'll find specials here (after contributing some images and enough posts) or use an Ebay store. The SB800 can be got for about $480 to your door.

Nick, what's the go with getting cheap deals through the D70 website?
My dad mentioned he'd heard something about it, but how does it work?
How often do they have specials?

Awesome price, I remember I bought mine around this time last year from the US for $330-ish, plus NY sales tax, and missed out on a rebate by days... ;)
