Travel InsuranceHey all, I was wondering who people use for their travel insurance when travelling overseas?
With particular attension (of course) to photographic equipment? Ray
i would recommend going thru your home+content insurer to cover aus wide travel

I have to say I haven't read as much into this as I probably should have. I just go with the one my travel agent uses. This time around I have purchased two single policies. It costs the same as the couples policy but gives us twice the cover for camera equipment. Instead of $4000 it's $8000 cover. I got the travel agent to make sure this was ok with the insurers and they were ok with it. Just checked the policy and it's with Mondial Assistance.

I just changed my insurance today. I get a fair bit of gear insured under the business insurance I have. It is something that only costs 370 bucks more split over the remainder of the insurances year (8 months). For a lot of gear this was an absolute Godsend and bargain.
EDIT - I am refering to the previous domestic (Aust only) to worldwide cover with GIO business insurance. HB
