How old is she? I think it really depends on the mood you are trying to create. U2 - Beautiful Day is a nice, slower song that can go quite well on a slideshow, or do you want ones with "life" type themes?

Err.. she's only 5. She has the "STAR" bag and can take along stuff to share of her life.

Hey Matt,
Well for that soft and gooey touch you could use "Beautiful" by Christina Agulara. (don't tell anyone I said that especially my sons!)
Or a more up tempo current thing maybe "Grow Up" by Simple Plan.
Or maybe "Daughter" by Pearl Jam?
Good Luck!

I just did a slide show of my Nan's 90th and used the song 'She' by Elvis Costello, it wasn't my plan but my mum melted and the tears came a flooding! Very sentimental song. Another good one is Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle, however this is more a wedding type themed song...
Hmm, just thinking I did a portrait shoot DVD for a client, mum, dad and two young kids 'every breath you take' by Sting...I liked that a lot! Cheers and good luck!

Tears thats what I'm after.
The greenday song is a tear jerker for the teacher as her son sang it on his last day of school to his freinds and family.

Just remember you don't want the song(s) to overpower your images.

Onyx, if I took your advice, my slideshows would be silent
Doesn't take much to overpower my images.
