i hope you guys/girls had fun at the aw.
anyway was photographing the lastest track meet when the rain hit hard and fast. didn't realise my bag was still open when i ran for cover. then when i stopped i heared a drop on the pavement, 50mm was the poor victim. upon further inspection the filter had absorbed most of the impact and cracked its glass. the lenses itself stuffered a smal dent on its plastic body.

so remember folks filters help(so does checking your bags before you move) :D

Pays to be safe then sorry Thai, glad you got out of it with a stuffed filter and no major problems with the lens. Ok mate how did you go at Mallala?

That was close :shock: I have done a similar thing picking up my bag which was not closed. Fortunately it fell onto my lounge and not the floor :oops:

i really can't believe how easy it was to drive to mallala, from the city it was 80km straight right turn then left turn. comparing to the mess i had to go through to get to oran park.
