uv filter saves the day! acts of a careless fool.i hope you guys/girls had fun at the aw.
anyway was photographing the lastest track meet when the rain hit hard and fast. didn't realise my bag was still open when i ran for cover. then when i stopped i heared a drop on the pavement, 50mm was the poor victim. upon further inspection the filter had absorbed most of the impact and cracked its glass. the lenses itself stuffered a smal dent on its plastic body. so remember folks filters help(so does checking your bags before you move) Life's pretty straight without drifting

That was close I have done a similar thing picking up my bag which was not closed. Fortunately it fell onto my lounge and not the floor
