Hi Guys and Guyettes,

Back for the second time, hopefully now, full time.

I have spent a bit of time lurking, but virtually no posting, but I'm getting back on track, mainly health wise, but other things too.

Please don't think for a moment I'm looking for sympathy or utilising the "poor old nige" bit, thats the last thing I would do on a forum such as this.

I have hardly used my camera for the past 6 months, but hopefully "The times they are a changin".

I do have to admit one thing though, I sold my beloved 80-400VR lense on Ebay to raise a bit of cash. I didn't offer it on this forum, because quite frankly, I was too bloody embarressed to let the members know I needed to do this. If this has to happen in the future I will post on the forum first.
I certainly didn't make any profit though (purchased originally through Birdy) but that wasn't the intention anyway, just needed the cash.

I must apologise to Birddog for selling this lense as he is so helpful and his prices and service are second to none. Sorry mate.

Jenolan Caves Trust is still a Trust and doesn't go under the hammer until the September/October sitting of parliament, when we may be transferred to NPWS under the Dept. of Conservation. Will keep you posted. Will be a tragic move in my view, but thats life.

Cheers for now guys
Nige

Welcome Back Nige, Well good to hear you are still kicking and well getting better. I dont think anyone would have thought any less of you ig advertised your lens on here as well there are times we do need to say to hell with it and sacrifice something we love dearly for money at times, we wouldn't be human if we didn't. Just a set back and these situations cant be helped.

Ok on the cave bit i would know where they are but the main thing is you are still around. Well good to have you back mate now could i interest you in some cheap kids or even a used, hard working, whinning mother to help you get back on track mate?????
Cheers
John

Hi Nigel,

It's great to hear that you are getting back on track. Our collective heart goes out to you as a forum member, you are like a part of our extended family and when something happens to one of us, we all share the anxiety.

Anyway, one thing i've learned over the years is not to dwell on the past, but focus on the future because that is the destination we are all heading.

It's great to have you back and i look forward to your future posts, especailly when you pick up the camera again.
Steve.
