Photoshop Help.....F*!K?

Postby kipper on Sun Aug 14, 2005 11:01 pm

Sigh, I just did the stoopid thing of clicking save before I shut down photoshop for a project that I was working on. Little did I remember that the last I'd used PS was to convert it to SRGB and save to web which of course flattens the image. Now the stupid thing is I didn't realise until I closed the image. Is it possible to get the layers back now that it's flattened? :)

Wish the bloody image was saved with history, why on earth does it also have to flatten the image to convert to another profile. Why doesn't it just create a temp document to convert to another profile....arrghhhhh!

...... if photoshop is still opened 'yes' but if you have moved on no.....you should always use 'SAVE AS'........

.....you could have used 'EDIT' ......TO UNDO YOUR LAST COMMAND.....

GOOD LUCK

Yeah while it's still open I have no problem but I'd already closed. That'll teach me for running on autopilot :(

If you have closed the image, i.e. quit from the image - it is gone 8)

Chris, thought as much with my previous errors but just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I didn't know about CS2.

You did not save it in psd before?
I know its an obvious question, but I am in the habit of saving in psd after every couple of adjutments etc.

And if they are big files I purge the undo and history states as well to speed up photoshop a bit
