Hi Wendellt, I dont have this one but i have the 6210 and i like it, works well for me even though the battery usage meter fluctuates a bit at times but i have not had a problem with mine, but i can view RAW files with mine. Got it from JALDigital

Hi Wendell, I just got the 3320 (from JalDigital as well), and have not had a problem with it so far (except the buggers didn't plug in the HD - it took me about 1 hr to figure that one out)! So, I'm pretty happy with it overall.

When i got mine they had installed the hard drive,formatted and set it all up with the folders all ready to go all i had to do is turn on and start using it.

Just a suggestion. I am not sure how much you shoot, but with the D2X and 12mp images, you will be filling cards up pretty quickly. I have the PD70X which might interest you. It has one of the highest rated transfer speeds - roughly 2 minutes for 1Gb, which I find very useful if you are in a hurry. It uses 4 AA rechargables which is much more flexible than proprietary batteries. It claims 50Gb from one charge. It doesn't have a view screen though.

Does it let you zoom into the NEFs at all, or just a fullscreen view of the embedded jpg?

Just wondering if anyone uses their IPod for additional storage space. I was considering using my IPod for my next trip overseas for when I'm out and about, and then at night tranfer all the shots to my laptop.

Wendell, did you end up getting it? If so, what do you think? I am looking at one of these to give my father in law for his trip overseas in a couple of weeks. We have an old x-drive and I love it although I am not sure if he would be happy with no viewing of the file structure.

i initailly wanted to use to ipod for both music and photo storage, but after much researching (dpreview, fredmiranda, etc), using the ipod for photo storage is not practical.

You will need a device made by belkin that is a CF reader, this device needs its one battery. the transfer process is too slow to be worhtwhile. at the same time, the battery drains too fast on both the belkin and ipod.

Better to get a dedicated PSD, if you want to transfer files in the field. Do a search on this forum, i think this topic has been discussed before.

Get 4Gb CF Card and get 5 of them

What's Sony device? I don't have any Sony PSD.

Full size NEF of D2x (19.3Mb) is taken more longer to transfer on any devices, in comparison with the D2h (3.08Mb) so you can figure it out with 4Gb CF card of 80x, I experienced this with the Epson P-2000 also, that made me buy more 4Gb card as spares. I have total of 5 now. So I'll rarely use the PSD on the move, and not prefer to do so. Apart from these 4Gb cards, I have 6 x 2Gb also for the D2h + D100.
Today, from 10:00am till 2:30pm, I shot nearly 8Gb (2 x 4Gb) and 366 pics at one of the event of the Viet's community, in the next few weeks at one weekend, I'm sure that I'll chew 3 x 4Gb cards easily for the next event within 6 or 7 hours.

Exactly! anyone buys the 1Gb CF card today will not be very useful for the next u/g if you wish to u/g your camera body to the D2 series or future D200 or the near future.

512Mb or 1Gb CF card now is in the history and it's my case.

I don't want to have many small size of CF cards in my bag, and I'm very keen in shooting with large capacity of the card instead of.
