Hi everyone, firstly many thanks to those who replied to my question regarding the tutorial DVD... I just returned from a trip in Thailand and shot about 700 pics in 10 days, glad i dont have to put the rolls of print into be developed!

As this is the first time using the new camera, I found the preset functions really good and even tinkered with the shutter speed for a few effects. I was totally amazed with the battery, it blew the pants off the duracell bunny.. As soon as I get a few organised from the laptop, I will post a couple for comment (or a laugh)

It doesn't matter how good or bad the photos are so long as you are taking photos with your new camera and you are taking digital memories of your trips and life experiences.

Besides, 'Every picture you take is making you a better photographer, regardless of how good you are now or how good you become in the future.'

Welcome back; I hope that, apart from the photographic part of your trip, you had a safe and enjoyable journey.

As Steve said, it's not that important how good your photos are - who are we to judge, anyway? - but more that you get out there and play with the camera, making lots of images, and learning how to use the camera.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your efforts.
