Diffuser for SB600???

Postby Raskill on Tue Aug 30, 2005 4:08 pm

Ahoy hoy,

Anyone out there know where I can get my hands on a diffuser for an SB600 and a new eye cup for the D70? I saw an 'aftermarket' eye cup that was HUGE the other day and thought it looked okay, but now I cant find it. I don't want to pay the Nikon Corp. $30 for a genuine eyecup for the thing to fall off next time I use it.

Cheers.

That what you should buy a SB800 instead of from the beginning, additional items added up will be the same or closed to the price of SB800 + the SB800 is more features than the SB600.

The rubbereye cup which members bought are $17.00/ each, which is genuine Nikon part.

To late for that argument, besides I couldn't convince the minister for war and finance I needed a SB600, let alone an 800. I had to purchase it on the sly :)

Do YOU happen to know where I could pick up either the diffuser or the eye peice? :D

No, I have no ideas where can you get the diffuser or wait till I can get some more LSII in stock.

The Rubbereyecup is available at the mini meet.

Stofen OmniBounce for the SB600 from Vanbar...

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and goto items 31-45 (it's the second entry listed) CLICK HERE

Should do the trick for what you want....but Birdy was correct. You should have purchased the SB800 from the get-go :)

As for the Rubber Eyecup....you should be able to get this from Birdy !

Hope this helps...

Does the diffuser for the SB800 fit the SB600? If it does, I have a spare one that I could "donate"..........

The head of the SB600 is smaller than the SB800, it may fit the SB80DX but not the SB600, or user has to modify it to fit onto the SB600.
