Sony PSPI haven't yet seen a Sony PSP, but the news articles that I have seen have indicated that:
- it has a very good screen - it can store and display images I looked quickly at the specs, and it only appears to have 4gb memory, although it does, of course, allow use of Sony's memory stick media. I was wondering about its use to display digital images on the go. Does anyone have any ideas? TFF (Trevor)

Re: Sony PSP
NO, how can you intergrate the CF card into the memory stick? Birddog114

I had one, used it and sold it before it was ever released in this country.
1) Yes, it does have a VERY nice screen. Provided your individual sample doesn't have dead pixels - but this is more to do with current day LCD technology than the PSP itself. It makes a great personal video player for long trips I find. 2) It does NOT have built in memory capacity. You will need to invest in Memory Stick Pro Duo (as distinct from Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro), which costs about twice as much as CF, SD or other more common flash memory. If you intend to display images with the unit, you will have to buy sufficient capacity of MS Pro Duo, and optimally process your images to output to the PSP screen's native res of 480x272 or a multiple thereof, to avoid LCD's typically unsharp resizing of anything other than their native res.
Thanx Birdie & Onyx - sounds like a lost cause.
Surely we're not too far away from the ultimate portable storage/display unit. I know there's the Epson P2000, but have we yet seen them in Aust? TFF (Trevor)

Thank You
There are also some other offerings similar to the Epson P2000, such as the XDRIVE VP6230, might be worth a look.
I know that creative is also releasing a similar product the zen vision ... http://www.creative.com/products/pmp/ we may not be there yet but we are getting close!
The Creative Zen Vision only reads jpeg, not NEF or other RAW format. Birddog114

I seen the new Xdrive on the weekend and looks good smaller and lighter than mine also a bigger screen and differant build, but only thing i didn't like was when inserting the CF it is a bit tricky as it has a rubber door cover that you have to hold back to slot card in.
