The link above is in Japanese. I did a translation few minutes ago and lost it, not well clear in reading but confirmation of:

Nikon announced: the production of D100 is ended by Sept 02.

Also the famous Ai Nikkor 45mm F2.8P is end of production too. The Nikon line up are almost complete with D50,D70s,D2hs,D2x. In mean while the succecsor of D100 is not announced yet. It will be complete in the lineup.

For Glen: the 45mm f2.8 is going into its history now, hold on to it, you'll have a collectible item in your house, maybe it'll become the same price and value as the Noct.

I can't beleive they are stopping it. A gem of a lens, maybe the US market wants AF only. Won't leave my possesion ever. They must have something good to replace it (I hope)

A lot of people overlook a lens which is not AF. It will however meter on any digital body and it's another Nikon gems which we both have. Happy :D :D :D

You won't see many eBay sellers sell this lens, perhaps B&H or Adorama, I'll check with HKS.

Please do.

In the meantime, I'm severely hoping I get one of the video editing or photography jobs I've applied for. :!: :!: :!:
