Dad wants to buy a Digital SLR and he said he'd take mine if I wanted to sell it.

Should I sell him the body and look at something else? D2X or similar?

With the D70s replacing the D70 it's probably worth about a dollar a shot!

Why limit it to the body only? Sell him the lot and move up-market. I'd suggest that you don't need a D2x at the cost and with the features you'll never use but could well do with waiting for the down-specced D2x which is soon to appear. Team that with a 17-55mm DX and now you're talking!!

Pass to him as much as $500.00, body only, or $750.00 -$800.00 for with the kit lens and force out another $6200.00 for the D2x.

Why not if you can afford it! you won't regret if you have to go this way.

$500? geeh I didnt realise the body is worth so little It's almost not worth it to upgrade to the D2x. I can't wait until a down spec'd version comes out

Edit: looks like used D2X's are going for around $5000 or new ones from Digital Rev for $5800 plus import tax I think a used camera like Gavin's would be perfect
