Evening all! What have i missed.......

Tuscany was great, got back on Sunday night, just in time to catch the last day of the Test.........

Finally got a minute to load up the phots last night - about 200 in all - i decided to shoot RAW as opposed to JPEG on my 2gb card.

On first look i'm not as happy with my efforts as i'd like to be, especially when comapred to those posts i've seen around from others just returning from Safari, but hey this is a learning curve.........

That said, there are a few keepers in there though, will try and some some PP'ing done and upload them in the next few days.

As for the place itself -hightly recomended to anyone that thinking of going, beautiful area, (mostly) wonderful people etc etc - Chianti is apparently now nicknamed Chiantishire as so many Brits are out there now - i can see why.

Off now to try an work out how the leaning tower stays upright - its over 4mtrs off centre!!! much more than i thought it was.......

Hi Chris,
Sounds like you had a great time! I am envious of you being able to "pop" over to Europe very cheaply.
Italy is beautiful and I look forward to seeing some of your photos.

Marvin - yep - lucky for us, cheap airlines, 1.4euro to the £ (couple of Aussies we met said you guys have to part with 1.7 $au to get a Euro - thats costly, let alone 2.3 to the £!)

Stunning place though wrong time of year for landscape stuff - too hazy after a long hot summer and too 'grey' as most crops harvested now and the ground has been turned over so the shots i have are mostly buildings, statues and fresco's..........

Just have to plan to get back there in May next time - apparently its the best time of clear, clear skies, green fields, not too hot.......

Hi,

I too just got back from Tuscany, went to chianti(shire) ;-)
stayed near Greve in chianti. How about yourself??
Like you say was quite hazy , but got some nice shots out of the 200+ photos I took.Got some good shots of the nice ripe grapes in the vineyards. Shame we missed all those sunflowers in full bloom, the fields of them looked a little on the sad side.
