Onyx, some great examples of different boke (thanks Matt K for correcting) especially with my next lens the 45mm 2.8P. Thought you might appreciate the differences.

not yet but it's still there... hopefully something will go wrong tomorrow at their site and i'll have to go over and fix it

yes.. it's genuine... had a little chat with the owner and asked for a price range if he was to sell it... his reply... "i couldn't name a figure"....

It would be hard to guess a price in this country for one, I would guess a quarter to half a million depending on its provenance and left or right. Very, very nice toy to have (and owning a piece of history)

Thanks Glen, yes I am a bokeh fiend... I didn't mean to be, but find myself attracted to the smooth rounded type, and annoyed/distracted by visible polygonal shapes.

I spent pretty much the whole day today shooting with Birddog's 85/1.4 - actually it was yesterday as it's technically tomorrow now, 1:24am. I absolutely love this lens, and this is one infamous for its smooth bokeh! Samples to come... of some gorgeous eye candy too (the Black Thunder girls).

It's not technically tomorrow yet in WA (3 hours behind)..hehe..

Xerebus, you got me all excited, I saw a posting by you and was expecting to see 550 shots. Create a problem so you can get over there, 550 are not exactly thick on the ground in aus.

 LOL Glen, I must admit - I did have not insignificant amounts of kiddie piss in me (Vodka Cruisers) at the time, which made the 1/15 shutter speed all the more surprising...
That was actually outside the main street in Bondi - the blobs of light were traffic lights, car headlamps, tail lamps, etc.
