lost the eyepiece for my d70

Postby resnikov on Mon Sep 26, 2005 1:01 pm

Well it finally happened, I lost the eye piece for my d70
I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me where to get a replacement for it and how to make sure it doesn't fall off again.
I also heard the eye piece for the D70s was bigger and nicer and might fit. Anyone comment on that ?

Cheers

Like others I gave up with the original eyepiece and bought a couple of the D70s eyepieces. Since I did I haven't lost one.

Nikon DK-20 can be fitted on the D70 and it's little bit larger.
Or Nikon rubber eyecup which our members have on their cam.
Check on the bargian section when you're qualified with member status.
To make it stay put on the viewfinder, I used a toothpick and "pinched" the nail polishing liquid from my other half, run that liquid around the rim of the rubber eyecup, then put it on and it will stay there.
I did the same way with other cam as the D2 series with DK-2 or DK-19 on the DK-17M.

i found a dk-6 for $2.99 plus $14 shipping

and a dk-20 for $7.99 plus $14 shipping

both from digital-rev-oz on ebay

Are the prices any good ? I really want to get an eye piece soon and I don't think I will make the qualified member status any time soon unless I post spam

The DK-6 won't fit the D70
Get the Nikon rubber eyecup from the bargain section.
