Hi guys I'm back from 2 weeks camping and taking a few pics up in the gulf. Thought I might throw these two up for comment. The dragonflies are tricky little cusses to photograph aren't they.

Thanks BBJ the goanna is taken with the 80-400VR. One of the first I've taken with it.

G'day Marco,
The Goanna's great, good unusual pose, well caught... Terrific seperation from the blurred background too so he (ooops, or she?) stands out in the pic... Blew Mountains away eh BBJ? :lol:

Great shots, the gonna is definitely a keeper, and considering how flighty the dragonflies are that is a great capture too!

Yeah they are sure flighty. Tried to get one in flight but it's almost impossible. In fact it really looks sharp taken to 100% and cropped in.
The goanna is rather gaunt and also edgy. It had healing scars on its back and seemed to be recovering slowly.
