I am so amazed at how much faster PS is at raw conversion than NC. I am running a dual processor machine and I would think that one reason would be that PS is dual pro compatible. I take it that NC isn't?

Photoshop CS2 has a multi-threaded RAW conversion plugin, that means it takes advantage of multi-processor machines

But the whole program is not multithreaded, only certain plugins like guassian blur are re-written in multi-thread code to take advanatge of parallel processing for dual platforms.

The only fully optimised photoshop for multiple processor support was
photoshop 3.0 for IRIX on the Silicon Graphics platform.
