I just updated my OS to OSX 10.4 I now find my NEF files will not open in photoshop 7 or CS. I was having problems with the files from the D70s but now the whole lot has gone. the shots open OK in preview but not on PS :-(

Does anyone have any ideas what may have happened or what I can do to solve this?

Hey Dug, just re-install the RAW plugin and it should work. Happened to me once...

and when you updated ur OS.. ya FUBAR'd it lol

I sent you the update.. its for CS2.. which im pretty sure you have now?

If not.. ill get the plugin for cs for ya

Preview in Panther didn't know about RAW files, but does now in Tiger. So the default program for opening them is now Preview.

But it's easy to change: in Finder right-click (or control-click) a NEF file and select "Get Info", then "Open with" and select CS/CS2/whatever, then select "Change All..."

I did that Dave and get a message saying

"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of Document" ??????????????????????

I hate computers, my light table never did this to me ;-)
