leek,
Great find, bookmarked then reserve it to answer any questions of members related to tripod, head, plate etc....

leek,

Great link - probably refer to it over the next 6 months or so as I look for sturdier support than what I have now.

Tripods for me are sort of "the great misunderstood". So many combinations, so many different plate/head/legs to choose from, so much money! :)

Thanks for the link, a good read. It's something I need to buy in the near future, so you've helped a lot!

Danke.

Thanks Leek

For those of us fairly new to photography it really helps clear up the mysteries of the tripod and the "other" bits. :)

I'm glad that you're all finding it useful...

I was thinking of putting this in the Abs. Beginners section, but thought that even some of the more advanced users could benefit from it...

I am glad you guys liked the article. "Tripods are the great misunderstood" is a great way to sum it up, Daniel. I'll remember that one.

And if there is anything else you want ilikecameras to cover then leave a comment or fling us an email.

cheers,
Paul Watson
