All are cool, interesting shots, but this one is well above the crowd, in any crowd. Nicely done. :D

It does look like you had a great week-end... :D

The snakes head has terrific detail and clarity (the focal length would be interesting! ) and the big boys toys look like they'd be a ball!

Two observations.

1 - are these guys crazy?

2 - are YOU crazy - that snake is very up close and personal. This is an absolute corker of a pic. Crisp and detailed and way more close than I'd ever get to one of these critters in real life. Dare I say it (memory ain't what it used to be), bit I think this is the best pic I've seen from you.

Very, Very impressed with the snake head.

That's the clarity I've been looking for from my D70 and not able to achieve!

I'm Jealous.... Well Done!!

Regards

Tony

Thank you for the nice comments guys. I came across the python sunning himself on a track and paced him out - a tad under three metres, but he was not about to move for me or anyone. :D

Shot with the 70-200 VR at 200mm.

The carpet python head is awesome. Looks great.

Those errm, vehicles are very interesting. Now that looks truly like off-road driving. I'd like to see those Mosman Maniacs in their Suburban Assault Vehicles take on that terrain.

Great pics.

Oneputt - a totally enthralling series of shots with the odd snake thrown in

Snakes are nearly blind and will only attack when they sense movement. I have seen a snake wrangler with 2 Taipans going over his boots - he did not move an inch

Looks like you had a good week-end! Nice shots, especially the snake head, it looks so... reptilian!

Those toy cars are sick! Love the whole series. Good mug shot of the serpant too!
