I am still unable to get a patch or plugin to load into photoshop CS to open my NEF flies since upgrading to OSX Tiger.

Sorry but with 4,500 images to process and another shooting trip this is really starting to annoy me.

Does anyone have any suggestions PLEASE!!!!

D70s NEF files are only supported by the new Camera Raw version 3.2, but that only works with Photoshop CS2.
If you only have a D70, then you should be able to get along with Camera Raw version 2.4 in conjunction with Photoshop CS...

I have no idea how Macs work, so I can't give you detailed instructions, but you can find the 2.4 download at http://softwareupdates.adobe.com/update ... p?cid=2865

Ok, back to basics:

What happens when you double-click on a NEF file in Finder? If it doesn't open PS you can redefine the Open With characteristic for this file type.

What happens if you open a NEF file from inside PS (via Open... or via the File Browser)? It should open the Camera Raw interface.

Which camera are you using?
The ACR 2.4 update for CS (available via this link) has support for the D1, D1H, D1X, D70, D100, and D2H. If you're trying to cope with a different Nikon DSLR you'll need ACR 3.2, which is not compatible with CS and requires CS2.
