Actual Focal Length v. 35mm equivalent

Postby Greg B on Sun Nov 21, 2004 10:23 pm

We had a thread a few weeks ago - I can't find it to continue it - where the issue was raised about the focal length which appeared in EXIF being the actual focal length of the lens without taking into account the 1.5 x multiplier effect of the D70. We don't need to revisit the discussion about focal length, field of view, and what means what.....

However, I have just noticed (for the first time) that the EXIF information also includes a data item called "focal length in 35mm film"

That's all. No biggy.
