Not quite my first image per say, as since getting my first dlsr a week ago I've taken hundreds of shots already - but today I noticed the self-timer wotsit on the side and so valiantly took my first self-portrait. Didn't even crack the lens, bonus!

Just wait 'til I get used to using Photoshop.. next shot you'll see of me, I'll look like a soopahmodel, mwahahhaargghhh!

You seem to have an eye for Nikon.

Lol.. let's just say there was enough alcomahol to give me the Dutch courage to turn that lens around..! Because enough is all that you need, right?!

As for my "eye for Nikon", well since I usually do have the Nikon now permanently positioned in front of one eye it seemed only appropriate to substitute for the self-portrait.......!

I would strongly suggest a nikon eye patch. Then you don't need to close one eye when you look through the viewfinder. Actually on a side note I have started a POLL asking exactly this....
