Picked myself up a 40D yesterday along with some Kenko extension tubes.
Here's my first shot with the 12mm tube on a 50mm 1.4:

I am in envious of the rapid fire from a 40D,but Im scared to death of prices of glass available for it.The good points out weight the fiscal side,also a bonus it that this camera can use Efs and Ef glass
