This is the earliest shot taken with my new D700 that I'm happy to share (preceded by a series of duds while I got the exposure sorted).

Interestingly a few people had commented to me before I got it that it would take a little while to get used to a full frame body, but I'm not really finding the D700 very different to my D300.

And since I generally shoot landscapes - here's my first passable landscape with the new body.

Congrats Peter. Now you can get a little more bokeh out of your lenses. EDIT Sorry I meant to say a little less DOF.

Good to see more images from you Peter! I'd be pretty happy with those. I know that when I shift between my cameras I find it takes a few minutes to remember how they behave.

Good work on both Peter!
Are you planning to take a trip to the snow this winter to get used to how the meter handles snow before you take it south in November? :)

As for the full-frame vs crop body experience, I use a 7D and a 5DmkII and despite there being a few differences in buttons, AF, etc I can pick up either and shoot without having to get my head around the difference (depending on the job I'm sometimes out there with both around my neck). The main area the sensor size makes a difference in is DOF-limited situations. With fast lenses it's sometimes scary how narrow the DOF can be!
With a D300 and D700 it shouldn't be too hard to flip between bodies as the need arises.
