bob:
I started using an avatar not too long ago and found that it didnt seem to work correctly. the issue is that there is a .net site and a .com site and the 2 syncronise periodically and then the avatar is visible on both. so if you upload the avatar on the .net site, if you go to the .com site and look at a post, there will be no avatar until the sites sync. when uploading it you will see it immediately (on the site you uploaded it to )assuming the avatar is within the size constaints Steve check out my image gallery @

Not looking good Bob - unless your avatar is the dreaded red cross.

At the posts level, the .com is instantaneous.
At the avatar and related images directory, that's not so instantaneous. And "Save For Web" in Adobe Photoshop is how you minimise it. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au
