When I looked yesterday we were still under 290, so something's happenned during the (US) night.
To all the new members, welcome, and please, feel at home. Tell us about yourselves and your photographic backgrounds, and the sort of images and stuff you like to shoot.
And please update your profiles to include a guide as to your location. You bever know when that might be of use.

Yes, in all the commotion about a firmware upgrade, this milestone seems to have slipped by without much fanfare!
Welcome all new members, and congratulations Gary - your child continues to grow quickly

I second what Gary has to say, and to all the new members PLEASE feel free to post your questions/comments, it makes it a better forum with more discussion. On the same note, I just wish I had more time each day to spend on the forum but with work, a gorgeous fiancee and other 'life' activities my time here has been somehwat restricted...am finding it difficult to keep up. I DEFINATELY get a daily fix though, without it who knows how I'd be feeling now..hehe. Cheers all,
Geoff.

We do need another HOT thread in other forums for all our Aussies still wandering around or did not know we're existed.

Maybe you could talk with your friends at Maxwell and get them to insert a business card in D70 boxes advertising us!
lol
Seriously, it's probably not a bad idea if we could get some of the better camera shops on side
Don't know how we could go about it - I'm not the sort of person who has the 'push' to push this sort of thing, but would be happy to design something

Maxwell doesn't like us, cos we buy GREY and love to do it!
Camera shops don't like us cos they can't beat Poon's prices!

Welcome to all newcomers - this forum has grown tremendously in the past six months thanks to Gary, Birddog, Glen, Matt K, Raydar, Onyx and others too numerous to mention.
Don’t be shy - ask questions, post pics and join in the fun and the learning.

Hi Gary

Chris,
Yes.
And also interestingly, for each of the last two (Sydney) nights we've had our greatest numbers of people online here.
But I guess that the influx from DPReview might have helped with the boost in numbers.

Gary,
We're all broke, tired after the Festive Seasons, the only way to have free entertainment is a cold beer in one hand and the keyboard in another hand, chatting with our mate in the comfort of our home:lol:
Yes, I can see there's many members logged on same as so many lurkers yesterday and couple days ago.

I noticed that last night - 30 people on, 20 of whom were unregistered "guests", so there's a big influx coming from somewhere!
G'day sidstar, and hi to everyone else too.
