Storm coming

Postby the foto fanatic on Thu Jan 06, 2005 4:12 pm

We have had the most sticky, humid weather in Brisbane over the past few days. Last night it was about 23 degrees and 85% humidity - sweltering.

Just looked out my back door to see this - gee, we need it. Hope it pelts down and takes this sticky weather away.

Edit: To create this photo, I pasted two identical photos on top of each other in Elements. They had different EV levels by about 1.5. I had the darker one on top, and used the eraser tool to "uncover" the lighter one for the river and houses area. Interestingly, the "correct" matrix exposure was the darker of the two, probably because the dark cloud takes up so much area in the image.

Where abouts in Brisbane are you? I can't see anything out of my window at work (facing south looking across the river from the CBD)...

Looks good though.

I'm in Albany Creek ATM and it seems to be clearing up now. The clouds looked very dark not long ago though.

I'm at Teneriffe.
And in the time between when I posted that and now, we have had exactly 6 drops of rain & the sky has brightened considerably.
Curses, foiled again!
