Latest news from HKG.

I've just off the phone with Poon,

Stock is shortage on the 70-200VR and 80-400VR same as SB-800, this shortage is lead to the coming Chinese New Year in early February 05.

I ordered:
06x 70-200VR and 06 x 80-400VR same as 20 x SB-800s and many other lenses, but he could not fulfil the order/ only part shipped my order.

I've been told HongKong Supplies will be closed 1 week during Chinese NY same as very low volume in production from Nikon or other manufacturers in Taiwan, China, HKG at the end of January until mid or late of Feb 05.

I have your SB-800 in next this shipment but not until Wed. next week.
Try to ask him more but he could not get them, he told me he ordered 100 unit but Nikon( :?: ) only gave him 45, then he has to give some to his European's dealer as well. We have some but not great as my demand,
My order is not only for D70Users.com, I've found a very niche market among our existing Govt. Customers, they like our prices in comparison with prices I supplied them from Maxwell stock.
They can buy 4 x SB-800 from me instead of they can only buy 3 x SB800 from Maxwell stock.

Oh yes! Maxwell price is $850.00 to them, cos 30 days credit term to them then they normally dragged it to 90 days.
