Afga photo competition

Postby Onyx on Tue Jan 25, 2005 1:02 pm

Listen up all you talented macro photographers: Flyer, Sirhc55, Nicole, Xerubus et al... (sorry if I missed any names, I don't think any less of your work) here's your chance to win a 300D! ;) lol okay that's second prize, so the first loser loses in more ways than one...

Anyway, Afga are having a "close up" competition.

Closing date is 25 of March. Get your entries in!!

who is afga? *nudge*

But seriously, looks good..

One slightly odd rule..

5. Agfa reserves the right to purchase prize-winning photos for its own use.

If you reserve the right to purchase a prize-winning photo, what happens if the photographer says no? purchase seems to imply a regular sale, but i'm pretty sure you can decline to sell things to people for whatever reason you like.. it's your good/service after all..

Well reserving the right to buy is better than "all entries become the property of Afga Pty Ltd"...

Odd how in the last competition, they were giving away a D70 but now they've downgraded to a 300D.

EDIT: Oh I see... an E-1... wow... a good camera with a useless lens system... well, you could always sell the camera and buy either another body or a really nice lens. :)

Good ol' ebay could come to the rescue and provide a bit of cash to buy some decent gear!

Check out the 31st to 40 Prize. 10 rolls of film. I don't own a film camera anymore!

I think Leigh's got the right idea. Win, sell and buy something better!

Thanks for letting us know Onyx!
