Hello bandit,
Welcome to the forums, it would be great if you could fill out in your profile your geographical location. You never know you may live to some like minded D70 users on this very forum. Enjoy your stay, we look forward to seeing some of your images soon!

Geoff.

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

Have you tried a B&W CF card?

Actually you can set it to BW... Just load in a custom curve!

Could you use a B&W filter?

Seriously though...a good question from a new D70 owner. Most image software programs will allow you to convert to black and white. In Photoshop use DESATURATE and you can control the precise amount of colour you want to dial out.
If you have any problems then PM me and I'll send you further information. Enjoy the camera and post some images.

Welcome too!
