Definitely worth the wait, and you will not be disappointed in the quality of the product. Quality always comes at a cost.

Nothing have gone wrong with RRS! Their products are with superb quality the only downside is sometime they don't have enough stocks to supply and on waiting list for ages with few products.
Lastly, they are not cheap! and don't expect they are cheap btw.

That's a "coming out of the closet" statement Steve
I ordered my bits & bobs last Friday night, just had confermation that it arrived in Oz customs on Monday, now we'll wait and see if the boys in blue want any ransom money to release the goodies :D

If you don't hear from them as of this time, or still "waiting for clerance" from the AP website, it means the Boys in Blue wants to talk to you dearly!

Where did you get confirmation from Paul? I ordered mine on Wed last and have only received confirmation of my order from RRS...

RRS will email you the tracking number via USPS once your order is shipped.
You should tell me so I can ask them to let you jump the queue prior to place your order, I think BH-55 is not in stock and it's usual!

Grrr... It said that it was in stock on the website...

I deliberately chose the BH-55 with the lever clamp because it said that the one with the screw clamp was out of stock...

Okay it's now Friday and no email or postal advise as to when this package is coming.
Does anyone have a contact number I can phone to chase this up on?
As Birddog says it looks like I need to pay them a ransom to release this package.

You may check the email from RRS sent to you with the tracking number for your order.
go to this http://www.usps.com or http://ice.auspost.com.au/ and track your order, it'll come up with the history of shipping and telephone number to contact Australia Post.

Hi Paul,
As you may have seen, I ordered mine last Wednesday, heard nothing from RRS, but received a notification from Lane Cove post office yesterday that there was a package awaiting...
The customs obviously didn't think that my ball-head was expensive enough, coz they stung me for the GST as well...
Check your mail today and there may be a similar notification... If not, maybe Monday.

Paul,

Not that this is going to help you, but I ordered several items from 'RRS' on Tuesday night (8pm) of this week, and received confirmation that night and invoice with Tracking number the following morning. Items dispatched Tuesday/USA. I expect consignment to arrive in Sydney or Melbourne over the weekend with delivery into Adelaide on either Monday or Tuesday.

If the item or items you ordered are not in stock, they send you an e-mail. Seeing that you have received nothing, it would appear that something is sadly wrong.

This is the (almost) same answer that I got from Australia Post compared to the USPS website
Your item arrived at the international processing centre in (SYDNEY) at 09:36 on 29 Aug 2005, and is awaiting clearance for delivery processing.

I quess I just have to wait until I get the ransom note in the letterbox.
Just pisses me off that something can take 5+ days to be sent to your house whilst the US can send it across the Atlantic in a couple of days.

Paul,
Check with local AP on the following link:
http://ice.auspost.com.au/
give them a call to see where is it?

US$462.00 you may not escape the Boys in Blues.

It's worth to give AP a call then get the reference number of your order starting with Nxxxxx, contact ACS asking them for you tocome to do the clearance at their Gateway in Granville, it will take 15" minutes and you will walk out their office after paying the ransom with a big smile.
