An interesting technique: Use other peoples poses

When shooting the wedding on the weekend I found a great idea... wander around the room or ceremony, let people do the aranging and when the are looking at the other camera get in close and get a picture of them looking at the other photographer... these staring out into space images can have a really nice effect and provide for a different perspect and view of the people in the shot...
The image I posted at the beginning of my wedding shoot thread was done using this, it was posed for the pro after the signed, they looked up and smiled so I shot it from the side...

Good thinking mate.

Why not!!! getting them arranged is the hard part so get some one ells to do it & take all the credit for a great shot

I like it!!!!! 8)

Cheers

I agree! Your shot turned out very nicely, and I'll keep this in mind the next time I'm asked to be backup (I'm sure it's only a matter of time).

Another good method is to get them all set up. Then when they are smiling, point off to the side and yell, "Sasquatch coming!" Really nice results on this one.
