Ever time I upload images the frame counter keeps resetting to DSC0001. I'd prefer it keep going to DSC9999 which I'm sure it should but I've probably pressed the wrong menu option somewhere and I'll be buggered if I can find it

It getting to be a real pain having several pics with the same file name. Any help greatly appreciated. I read elsewhere here that there is no such thing as a stupid question, but if there was.......

A question is only stupid if you know the answer to it and ask it anyway.
in the main menu you should see a spanner icon, in that menu there is a line that says "File No. seq." next to it it should say "On"

Fair Dinkum, I think it's time I visited OPSM. How did I not notice that Perhaps it was the terminology that threw me. I'm still thinking of photos as frames instead of files as is obvious by the phrasing of my original question.

Another benefit of sequential numbering is that you can keep track of the number of actual shutter activations. Not sure why you would want to know that...but if you did....
