Nikon tutorial set of DVD is not worthy to buy and I only know it's selling in the uS but not so popular.
Go for Thom eBook, you won't regret! or new ebook of D70 from Peter iNova, I got one last Monday but has no time to insert in the PC.

Hey Newby
The only way I know to keep track of the total number of shutter activations is to set the image numbering to sequential. You do that from the menu. Then it will add one number to every image file..regardless of if you change flashcards whilst shooting.

I purchased "The Nikon D70 Made Easy" DVD for $74.00USA shipped to WA. It is a 2 part DVD and it looks great for beginners. I only ever watched about 30 minutes of part one - I found that I was more experienced than I thought! People in other forums found it to be excellent (which is how I found out about it) and I suppose it is a good alternative if you don't want to have to read a book. It also teaches you about lighting and stuff like that.

You can check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 3839924363

Since I never really used my mine, I may get around to listing my copy on eBay one day.

I am actually reading Thom Hogan's eBook as I type this message (only on page 65/510)

Cheers

The Nikon D70 Made Easy" DVD , the title is very exciting but think about of sitting in front of a PC and watching it..
With ebooks, you can print it out and have it in your bag on a tram, train or bus, so handy.

Thom's book is excellent, I am working through it too, and something new is revealed just about every time I pick it up.
