D70 and D2h can be changed to 8 megapixel

I have a play today with couple pics from the D70 "Go into Nikon Capture 4.1 or higher and change the size / resolution to 8 mp equivalent (3504 x 2320), It works great!" So I tried this trick on both three camera D70/ D100 & D2h, and the resolution is real perfect on the photos.
Have anyone try this before? it does work great, image quality does not go away, especially for portraits!!!
This is how I did:
Click view and open tool pallets 1,2,&quick tools. Open a raw image in Nikon capture and in the "Tool Pallet 1" open the tab that says size / res. and manually enter the pixel resolution there. I think this only works with raw files. and then process as normal, sharpening ( iusually start off with sharpening set to NONE in the advanced RAW pallet) Hope this will help?
