This is now turn to an old explanation and research:
How many traveller boarding the plane with the high speed film for non digital camera nowaday?
With memory flash/ all other types of memory, Hdd in notebook, MP3 player or other Hdd base etc... never have any affect by Xray scanner at the airport or in any labs.
I've been travelling nearly around the world with my notebook, dslr and heaps of memory cards but never found any defective to them after passing any Xray scanner, sometime change planes 3 times/ day and my dslr same as my luggages have gone thru those machines every two to three hours.
In the old days, yes, it's with film but not in the last 6 years.
