Photo Album softwareHi All
I am using Jalbum at the moment to create my photo album here but it takes so long to create the album and even longer to upload it, last night I installed the latest version but it did not work properly after that, so I am looking for something to replace it with. Does anyone know of any other album type software that I could use? The one thing I like best with it is it's free, so suits my budget Thanks Andrew Fuji Finepix s9500>>>D70s 18-70 lens
I am really happy with the combination of PicasaWeb and Picasa2.
250Mb free. Picasa2 reads all NEF files, jpegs etc. then with one-click in picasa2 you upload to your web album. You have to be a gmail user to be able to use this it's still in beta. Mine are here for your consideration. Justin's Picasaweb gallery D3 | 18-200VR | 50:1.4 | 28:2.8 | 35-70 2.8 | 12-24 f4

Re: Photo Album software
What computer setup do you have Andrew? I use Jalbum with the BananaAlbum skin and it's pretty fast. Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

Re: Photo Album software
Hi It's a 1.3 athalon, not sure of ram though. When I add a new folder as I did last night with two new pics in that folder and even though I have told it to build only the new images it still takes maybe 20 min to finish, then I can preview it. thanks Fuji Finepix s9500>>>D70s 18-70 lens
Hi Justin Yours look good, I have my own hosted server but I'll still check out Picasa2, I do use it at home to view my pictures folder. Thanks Fuji Finepix s9500>>>D70s 18-70 lens
I used Jalbum before switching to <A href="http://www.google.com.au/search?q=gallery&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official">Gallery</a> and gallery remote. You will need to check if you webhost supports all of the requirements (database etc) and will initially need to set it up, but once up and running it is a simple case of dragging your pictures in to gallery remote and it will resize and upload them to your site.
otherwise, I think breeze browser (and many other similar applications) has an HTML export feature.

Stunning images! You have a very individual and sophisticated 'eye' for a subject. The web address you copied seemed garbled. Was it anything to do with this: http://gallery.menalto.com/wiki/Gallery_Remote thanks
Thanks kalkadan I'm hoping to customize the site a little more when I have time. Not sure what was wrong with the link, but the main gallery site is below, the one you refers to the gallery remote app which I also use. http://gallery.menalto.com/
normally just copy from flash card to a folder, then basic processing on the keepers.
However - I've discovered DXO Optics, so I copy them across and batch process using DXO, gets most of the manual grunt PP out of the way just leaving arty stuff for photoshop D3 | 18-200VR | 50:1.4 | 28:2.8 | 35-70 2.8 | 12-24 f4

I thought I should clarify ...
Gallery is a complete system that you upload the photos to, not just an application that generates HTML pages on a case by case basis. It is more work to configure initially but once set up, it should be less work to maintain and add new images (using Gallery remote). Otherwise, you are better off looking for application such as ... <a href="http://www.breezesys.com/">Breeze Browser</a> <a href="http://www.stegmann.dk/mikkel/porta/">Porta</a> <a href="http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom/">Adobe Lightroom</a> also has web export in the Mac version and will probably be added to the windows one at some point. Be aware that this is a BETA application and as such is full of bugs.
