Problem with Nikkor AI lenses on D50

Postby Loz2283 on Sat Aug 20, 2005 12:46 pm

I have just bought a D50 and should be able to use my 105/2.5 AI lenses. I understand you can't meter but when I set the camera to manual, set the shutter speed, focus and then take the photo I get a totally blank image. When using this lens and the flash set manually the camera will not take a photo.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I use 105 on D70 in manual mode. Well, check your exposure setting s- time and apperture on the rings. It is easy to move ring from 8 to 22. Also check if you dont move from manual to program mode. Again it is easy to do it when changing lenses.

I took a photo now, 16pm, cloudy day, corect exposure - ISO 200, apperture 8, shutter 1/30.
