And we will start at 11:00am to the sand dunes.

There's a train from Central at 5:52 am arriving Broadmeadow at 8.39am and one at 7:21 arriving 9:46 am.

No, they'll fly in with first flight to NC Airport

I don't think Matt + Sam will get to the Central Station at 5:52am nor at 7:21am.

The only way is fly to NC.

or come up the night before. Matt you have mail.

oh! I get out of bed in time to leave here to drive down for a mini meet at 6:00 am and I'm a night person. Not easy, but certainly doable.

SYD to NC:

I've been told that the flight from SYD to NC with a "pelikan ?" is a georgeous experience. The plane flies quite low compared to jets and follows the coastline.
I'l make it one day and have the camera on board !

Cheers,

Christian - Aero Pelican used to fly in to Belmont and it was a great flight. Now they fly into Williamtown (Belmont airport is closed) and the trip is nowhere near as good (still better than a jet view wise though). Best I've ever had was a seaplane trip from Newcastle Harbour to Rose Bay, Sydney. Hugged the coastline all the way

Hi all

I haven't met many of you yet but am interested in attending this weekend if it is still possible. I am not sure exactly when I can be there but I will check with the wife and get back to you. If it helps I have a 4WD if one is needed, not sure how many seats, depends on how many of the family come along.

Ben,
The meet will be on next weekend 27/8/05, not this w/e.

I am not sure exactly when I can be there but I will check with the wife and get back to you. If it helps I have a 4WD if one is needed, not sure how many seats, depends on how many of the family come along.

You can come to the pre-meet at my sub base between 9:00 - 10:00, we will have few cuppas and light lunch prior to start.

PM me for the addy.

After 11:00 we will get our cars onto the Stockton beach.

Your present with a 4WD will be a big help for the group.

I have my truck with 2 seats available, (I & my other half + stubbsy)

Hilop will have his RAV4 and I think he has 1 seat left. (Hope he won't pull out at the last minutes)

and yours may cater another 4 seats.

I require all your confirmation of attending, due to the logistic and transport.

You know Renee better than that Peter. I have approval from the boss to go at least for the Saturday but we are unsure if the family will come for an overnight stay. So count me in for the Saturday and will see about Sunday.

Nick,
Ben confirmed: he'll come with us on next Saturday, so he'll have more seats available in his car.

So far:
I have two seats left
Ben has 3 or maybe 4 seats.
Hilop has 1 seat (Unconfirmed)

Totally we will have minimum of 5 seats available or 7 seats, if no one pull out at the last minutes.

Head counts:

- Me + my assistant (other half) with my 4WD
- Stubbsy
- pippin88
- Ben + perhaps his other half with his 4WD
- Geoff
- Rokkstar + GF (Unconfirmed)
- Hilop + GF (Unconfirmed) with his 4WD

11 people (6 confirmed + 5 unconfirmed) / 3 cars/ total 15 seats

So she will challenge on the Stockton beach and sand dunes with her Suzuki Vitara. Have her been off road with her car yet?

Where's your D/L from CCCP once you were in the military and maybe driving truck around, it can be exchange here, I guess!

Geoff pulled out :(

Mikhail's daughter is not in the list but she's in his car, just one seat available in his car and not 100% confirmed from him that he'll definitely come.

You know him don't you :?:

Monday 22/08, if no other firmly confirmation, I'll close the book and make my own decision. Perhaps there will be just you and me + Tran + Ben + pippin88.

Sadly I had to pull out, I have a lot on at the moment and it would've meant 10 days straight of working with a trip to newcastle (and back)in the middle. Not really feasable :(

- Rokkstar + GF
- Radar
- Hilop + GF (Unconfirmed) with his 4WD

Hi Birddog,

am I too late to put my name down? I would need a ride in a 4WD. If too late, I'll understand, I'll just have to be more decisive next time

am I too late to put my name down? I would need a ride in a 4WD. If too late, I'll understand, I'll just have to be more decisive next time

Thanks,

André

Radar,
If you're confirmed, then I can add your name on the list, we still have seats in the cars.

Would there still be a spot for Ann available?

She's not working that day anymore and would like to come.

If Hilop join us then there's a seat available on his GF"s car.
Or maybe with Ben's car

OK, overnight is not compulsory but well recommend for the sunset & evening shoot at the marina, though you have to reach the meeting point at 9:00am on Saturday morning.

Any updates on this, or is all staying as planned?

Birddog's at 9:00 then to Stockton at ~11:00, then to a sunset shoot?

900am then 10:00am to Stockton beach,
3:00pm back to base
5:00pm off to sunset shooting
6:30 back to base and heading to the Bay for dinner.

If you can find a good butcher nearby that you can grab 10kgs of eye fillet steak + stopby Newcastle Fisherman Co-op get 10 Kgs of live rock lobster, these will be enough for the day. Don't worry about REDs, stubbsy will have his cellar with him, then we are in the party

I'm picking Matt & Sam up at Broadmeadow railway station. They are catching the 7:21 train out of Central arriving 9:46am, but there is trackwork between Hornsby & Strathfield so it will add an extra 30 mins. I expect we'll arrive at Boat Harbour at 11:00 :(

I will bring plenty of red!

I though they leave for NC on Friday evening and ready for Saturday morning at 9:00am, if it's the case then there will be too late for the day, my plan is to leave for the Stockton beach at 10:00 and back to base at 3:00pm, relax and doing the sunset at 5:00pm.
Tell them don't use the train, get the dual bicycle  How's about the bus? does the bus start early?
If they can come on Friday night, it's better for the rest of the team cos no one has to wait long at Boat Harbour.
You bring the REDs, Hilop and pippin88 will bring eyefillet steak and lobsters, it sound to me we're having a good plan and big party of the DSLRUsers.com Nothern branch.
