I like number one, however I think the bright backgroun detracts from the subject matter.

Number two I really like, not sure why I like it so much but I do.

Number 3, doesn't interest me so much, it doesn't seem as sharp maybe ?

The first pic made me look twice as I thought it was blurry at first, then spotted the sharper petals :)

I think the second photo could be a bit sharper but definitely impressed by the outcome :) What f stop did you use?

My pref is the third pic as the entire flower is quite sharp and the background isn't too busy to distract the eyes. The flower actually looks like a long bell skirt with a side slit....

Alex, what lens were you using for these shots? and did you use flash at all.

Just cos I'm different I like #2 the best. The lines of the green foliage lead one into the centre beautifully where we have that lovely framed flower. Well done.

Bob, the kit lens for these. No flash.

Thanks, Peter. Actually I wished I used a smaller aperture to get it a bit more sharp, especially the foilage.

Nice shots Alex. I like the concept of the first one, but its just a bit too busy on the branch and you have to hunt for the sharply focused petals.

#2 is great. A picture that works well centered and has been nicely centered as well. Then nice colour and all the lines radiating out give a nice bit of dynamic to the shot.

#3, I like this because of the rim lighting and the colour and because its just a bit different.
Smile; it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
